Our Story
Rebel Therapies was created in response to the difficulties we saw being encountered from the unregulated wild west of the digital online world. Since the 2010’s and the emergence of smartphones and tablets, we have seen an unimaginable change in the way we communicate. The impact of this technology coupled with digital apps has had a devastating impact on many elements of our society, with some of us being more directly impacted than others.
Our Journey began in 2013 when Munur Shah, an entrepreneur, business mentor and life coach, experienced first-hand the difficulties created by the addiction to screens in his own family. This led Munur to research and understand the drivers of the intrusive technologies which play increasingly significant roles in shaping and changing our emotions, thoughts and behaviour!
Our team is a group of specialists and parents who believe in sharing our knowledge and experiences to create greater awareness. We are determined in building a more sustainable, respectful and healthy online world, and approach to screen life by fully understanding the underlying causes of the harmful technology we are exposed to on a day-to-day basis.
We are focused on creating a happier, healthier, more inclusive world for everyone
including our children and future generations to come!
Munur’s Story
The journey started early-to-mid 2010’s when Munur realised he was so engrossed in his phone he lost valuable time with his family and friends. He wanted to understand why he was so addicted to FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram as well as playing games like Candy Crush! It was devouring so many hours in his day, that he hardly had time for anything else. He had his phone with him and was constantly checking it whether that was having dinner with the family, watching TV, in the bathroom, first thing in the morning, and for hours at night!
Do you want to take back control?
Are you in the upside-down world?
It left him drained, irritable and low on many occasions. He noticed that this behaviour was rubbing off on his children and once they were given a smartphone, he saw the same patterns, if not worse, in them. What was it that was so intriguing about these little machines that compelled him to want to interact with them more than interacting with family and friends? Having gone through the addiction “thing” with his phone, and seeing his children incredibly addicted and negatively impacted by phones, tablets, gaming consoles, he decided to act.
He acted the way he thought best to help his family out of the screen addiction nightmare, and through trial and error, as well as years of research, training and coaching, he found a number of techniques that if implemented over a period of time, would drastically reduce the addiction to these devices.

Break the chains of the digital world
Over and above that, he also found out the many different levels that are associated to the addiction to screens, and how many organisations use specific strategies and techniques to initially snare us and keep us invested in what they do by triggering us in just the right places. If you, like him, want to make a substantial change in your life and also help to reduce the addiction and reliance on screens for your children, take massive action today!
